I work as a music and music technology lecturer at Barnsley College and University College Barnsley. I am also a songwriter and performing musician, freelance sound engineer, producer and video editor. This is the hub for my music, studies and other creative projects.
I have recently finished developing a trio of plug in devices for Ableton Live called Relative Tap Tempo, Dynamic Control and Looper3. These devices all drive a system of Reactive Backing. These devices are all available through this site: /livetoolkit as well as the maxforlive library.
As a part of my Masters, in 2009 I created a Synthesis Tutorial program using Max5. I updated the program early 2010 (v1.03) for general release and it can be found through the Synth Tutorial page of this site: /tcsynthtutorial. It is totally interactive and is intended for anyone who is interested in learning or teaching the basics of sound synthesis.
