Teaching
I currently teach on the Music and Music Technology courses at Barnsley College. I am course leader for First Diploma in Music and am involved with teaching and developing the college’s new distance learning courses.
I am particularly interested in developing new technologies for teaching and learning. As well as the Automatic Accompaniment project and the TC Interactive Synth Tutorial, I have created several podcasts for use in class, for distance learning and for general learning resources.

A brief introduction to the physics of sound tailored towards Music Technology students in order give some theoretical understanding behind the practical work.

This is the first part of a discussion about studio acoustics, covering soundproofing and the concept of de-coupling.

This is the second part of a discussion about studio acoustics, covering the basics of standing waves and reverb.
